In 1982, a coalition of downtown business owners elected to form a special benefit assessment district in historic Downtown Ukiah to encourage private investment, create a positive image, increase property values and attract visitors.
The Alliance, currently managed by the Ukiah Main Street Program has worked to provide street furniture, landscape improvements, and promotion of public events in downtown, just to name a few.
Continuing the programs to strengthen downtown Ukiah has been essential to the success, health and vitality of our downtown. Not only does Downtown Ukiah have a wonderful selection of places to locate a business, it also has great amenities, educational opportunities, infrastructure, and other resources that can be invaluable to you and your company.

We also have a Facade Improvement Program that pays upto 50% of the costs.
